From as early as I can remember, I’ve had two affections: making things and reading books. I always dreamed of becoming a biologist, but an introduction to website development around the time of my junior year in high school led me on a very different path.

In 2013, I joined Lovely in San Francisco as the company’s first full-time designer. There I led interface and interaction design on Lovely's iOS and Andoid apps, and worked with the team to build out and improve Lovely's marketplace for renters and landlords.

More recently through my work on Handbook, I’ve developed a passion for strategy, ‘grass-roots’ user research, and growth methodologies. I love the challenge of untangling messy problems, and designing solutions that make businesses and their users more successful.

I also have a passion for game design theory and video game development. I work regularly with game developers to learn about their process, identify their needs and frustrations, and develop tools to help bridge the gap between theory and implementation.

Experience

Over the past seven years, I’ve helped bloggers and entrepreneurs take their businesses online, led design on Lovely’s nationwide apartment rental platform across web and mobile, and worked with game developers to bridge the gap between theory and implementation.

I'm excited by the opportunities of design to provide structure to the way people work. My current role as a game designer has taught me so much about the importance of design process, and I try to bring that insight into my work as a product designer and developer.

Assisted the design team at AG in making online property and listing pages mobile-friendly.

Product Designer (Lovely, 2013-2015)

Led interface and interaction design on Lovely’s mobile and web platforms. Worked with the team to design and improve search, applications and payments, and Lovely for landlords.

Freelance web design & development (2012-2013)

During my time at the University of Utah, I worked with several bloggers and entrepreneurs to design, develop, and host their websites on Wordpress and Joomla.
